Old Iron, Good Friends & Great Finds.
The Granite Swap Meet is around the corner!
There’s just something about fall at Granite—and this September, we’re bringing the old iron, hidden treasures, classic cars and plenty of good food back to the grounds! Join us for the 34th Annual Granite Threshermen’s Association Swap Meet and the 15th Annual Good Ole Plowboys Swap Meet on Friday, September 18 and Saturday, September 19, 2026 at the Threshing Bee Grounds in Granite, Iowa.
Come ready to buy, sell, trade—or just wander around and see what you didn’t know you needed! Vendors will have everything from old iron, tractors and implements to gas engines, tools, vehicles, garden tractors, literature, antiques, vintage items and plenty of other treasures. Admission is FREE for spectators, and vendor spaces are just $20 for a 10' x 20' space, with Friday setup available.
Friday hours are 9:00 AM–6:00 PM, and Saturday hours are 8:00 AM–3:00 PM. And because no Granite weekend is complete without something good to eat, LeeAnn’s Kitchen will be serving food both days. Start Saturday Granite-style with a Pancake Breakfast from 7:00–9:30 AM, a fundraiser supporting SHINE, GTA’s Outreach Group.
Saturday brings even more fun with our Vintage & Classic Car Show! Bring ’em or come see ’em at the Come and Go Car Show featuring Model T’s, vintage and classic cars, pickups, motorcycles and more.
Whether you’re hunting for that one impossible-to-find part, cleaning out the shed and ready to sell a few treasures, bringing your favorite old ride, or simply looking for an excuse to spend a fall weekend at Granite, we’d love to see you.
Come hungry. Come curious. Bring a friend. And remember—at a Granite swap meet, one person’s “old stuff” just might be somebody else’s next treasure!

One of the greatest investments we can make is in the next generation.
The Granite Threshing Bee Scholarship Program was established to recognize young people who demonstrate a heart for service, a commitment to their communities, and a desire to make a difference. These scholarships, established in honor of LeeAnn Hansen and Ben Dieters, celebrate two servant-hearted individuals whose legacy continues to inspire others.
Each year, Granite awards scholarships to students pursuing careers in healthcare and agriculture—fields that strengthen our communities and reflect the values that have long been at the heart of the Granite Threshing Bee.
We are proud to introduce our 2026 Granite Threshing Bee Scholarship recipients:
Grace Norling of Beresford, South Dakota, is attending Montana State University, where she is pursuing a degree in Cell Biology and Neuroscience, with an anticipated graduation in May 2028.
Julia Trygstad of Nunda, South Dakota, is attending South Dakota State University, where she is pursuing a degree in Nursing, with an anticipated graduation in May 2027.
Lucas Bramstedt of Harrisburg, South Dakota, is attending South Dakota State University, where he is pursuing a degree in Nursing, with an anticipated graduation in Fall 2028.
In addition to their academic achievements, each recipient is committed to giving back through volunteer service at the Granite Threshing Bee. Their willingness to serve reflects the spirit of community, dedication, and stewardship that continues to define Granite.
Please join us in congratulating Grace, Julia, and Lucas on this well-deserved honor. We are excited to see the impact they will make in their professions and communities.
We also encourage students pursuing degrees in healthcare or agriculture who have completed their second year of college to consider applying for the 2027 Granite Threshing Bee Scholarships. If you know a deserving student, please help us spread the word. Application information, eligibility requirements, and deadlines will be posted on our website and Facebook page when the 2027 application period opens.
Thank you to everyone who supports the Granite Threshing Bee Scholarship Program. Because of your generosity, we are not only preserving our heritage—we are investing in the future through young leaders who embody the values of service, hard work, and community.
Congratulations once again to Grace, Julia, and Lucas. Your Granite family is proud of you and wishes you every success in the years ahead.

Help us save our trees.
The Granite Threshing Bee grounds means so much to all of us—it’s where memories are made, stories are shared, and our community comes together year after year. Seeing the impact the ash borer has on our trees is very difficult, and we know we can’t take on this challenge alone. If you’re able to give, please know how deeply appreciated it truly is—every bit of support helps us care for this special place we all love. Thank you for always standing behind Granite and helping us keep us strong for the for all of our visitors throughout the year and for our next generation. If you have any questions, please feel free to email us or reach out to a board member.
We will also be collecting donations during the Threshing Bee at the General Store and Registration Booth.
